GICSoft to unveil Online Enhancement to PI2!
GICSoft, Inc. is proud to officially announce the imminent release of an exiting new enhancement to Portable Intelligence 2. PI 2.0 is a mobile software solution for schools and school districts that gives the amazing flexibility of having access to school and school district information on the handheld devices such as smart phones, PDAs and micro PCs. This enhancement will allow mobile users to access PI2 information in online mode as well as offline mode. In addition, virtually any device capable of Internet browsing now will be able to access critical business data in real-time.
“The main focus of our online enhancement is to provide Blackberry, Palm and Symbian device users with a way to interact with business data through our PI2 platform,” said Igor Babushkin, CEO of GICSoft. “We are also working on an offline solution for Blackberry users and look forward to sharing information about a number of fascinating new features as development progresses.”
Building on the steadfast foundation established in Portable Intelligence 2.0, PI2 will add a rich variety of functionality to an already exceptional mobile platform.

GISCOFT develops the First Automated Special Education Transportation Algorithm
October, 20, 2009 Atlanta, Georgia - GICSOFT is pleased to announce that it has completed development of the most innovative automated algorithm for special needs students. This module will integrate into GICSOFT’s Pathalyst product which is a pupil transportation system for K-12 school districts.
This technology will enable school districts to realize the maximum level of efficiency, as well as maintaining a high level of service and reducing school districts budgets. “We’ve been working on this component of Pathalyst for an extensive period of time and are very pleased with the performance that the algorithm has shown during internal testing”, said Igor Babushkin, CEO of GICSOFT.
Preliminary test results show that using the Pathalyst SPED module results in a savings between 15 to 30% of the district SPED budget, while making special needs bus routing much easier and safer.
